The Royal Australian Air Force’s (RAAF) fleet of F-35A Lightning II aircraft continues to increase, with two more aircraft arriving at RAAF Base Williamtown in May.
Air Force has now received 44 of the planned 72 F-35A Lightning II aircraft after three more aircraft touched down at RAAF Base Williamtown on November 18.
Three new F-35A Lightning II aircraft arrived at RAAF Base Williamtown on February 11, joining the No. 81 Wing fleet.
Air Force’s F-35A Lightning II participated in Exercise Lightning Spear at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, United States from October 12 to 28.
