Fijians arrive to assist Tonga

The first element of Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) have arrived in Tonga to provide humanitarian assistance and disaster relief alongside Australian troops following a strict COVID-19 isolation period in Australia.

Often the first to arrive during operations, Air Force’s No. 37 Squadron is also now first to comply with new Defence-wide training regulations.

Royal Australian Air Force personnel and their allies from Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom were challenged on Exercise Coalition Virtual Flag 22-1 (CVF22-1).

There were a number of firsts for Air Force during Exercise Talisman Sabre 2021, from the transfer of fuel from a United States Air Force aircraft to the deployment of mobile aircraft arrestors.
